***** I really loved the mystery in this book. I love the age (middle aged) of the characters , which I can so relate to. This book kept me on my toes, there were twists and turns that I did not expect.
***** (Midlife Potions) This is a fun series to read. The characters are interesting and relatable. My favorite character is Jess’s cat/familiar Maestro. We learn a little more in this book why he is so grumpy and sometimes is short on patience with Jess.
***** I really enjoy how Maddie continues to expand her circle of friends as she brings in others who seem a bit lost in their current chapter in life. She’s always helping people and animals, with this book in the series being no exception. This is the first cozy mystery I’ve read that tied together pet napping, a murder and blackmail. It’s such a cute story! I look forward to continuing this series.
**** The main thing I liked about this book was the honesty of the characters with each other. I quite enjoyed the friendships that the “Girlz” made with each other. There are several suspects which I like. I love guessing and I like it even more when the killer is revealed and I was way off.
